Where time meets technology
The story behind Cadran, founded at the watchmaker's bench, built together with the industry.
Started at the bench, not in an office
Cadran was founded by Simon Grav, a watchmaker with more than ten years of experience from stores and workshops. He knew the problems from the inside, long before anything existed to solve them.
The industry looks after things meant to last for generations. The tools it used every day did not hold the same standard. The systems that existed were generic POS and ERP tools, made for retail at large and never for the workflow of a watch or jewellery store. The rest was solved with paper, email and habits that lived in the heads of individual employees.
This is what Cadran was built to clean up.
Built by people who know the trade
Co-founder Jarand also comes from the industry. He and Simon worked together in a watch store before they started building, and Jarand has four years of experience as a salesperson in several high-end watch stores. That means the system is tailored not only to the watchmaker's day, but also to the seller's, from actual days on the floor. The starting point is simple: less administration, more value creation.
All three founders are engineers, so the people who know the trade are also the ones building the system. The third co-founder, Sophie, has a background from startups and runs the operations of the company.
"Every detail in the system is shaped by real work."
One system for the whole operation
Cadran brings POS, service and workshop, sales and customer records, inventory and insights together in one system. The repair is followed from intake to handover, with its condition documented in photos. Customer history is available where the seller stands, so an ordinary visit can become a sales opportunity instead of a lost one. Numbers for sales, service and stock update in real time, across the stores.
AI is used to take away manual work, quality-assure registrations, find information faster and suggest follow-ups. The point is not the technology itself, but the time it frees up.
Developed together with the industry
The solution is developed together with Norwegian stores, workshops and chains, and every feature is tested in real operations before release. We build what the industry actually needs, not what we think it needs.
We measure ourselves on one thing: your revenue. The time saved on service and administration is only the beginning.
Where we are now
The team is based in Oslo. We are working to make the solution work just as well outside Norway, measured against the industry's own standards of precision.
